Bristow Consulting have been appointed on a 2nd cost management commission following appointment to major retailer’s framework to deliver 10,000 residential Build to Rent units.
The scheme consists of 450 Build to Rent units alongside a basement, landscaped podium, multi storey car park and the demolition and rebuild of the existing retail store and leisure centre to create a best-in-class rental product with key design differentiators in comparison to market competitors, consisting of the following;

Site phasing and logistics are complex based on the decant of the existing store and demolition of the adjacent leisure centre. The works will also include for use of a temporary car park whilst also having to deal with a live railway line to the north of the site. Therefore, we have engaged with a specialist consultancy to review programme, phasing and the logistics strategy to inform our allowances for Main Contractor Preliminaries to ensure we have a robust position which can be tested for viability approval.
