A landmark building on a complex triangular site in Kentish Town.

This triangular site has two highly visible elevations, facing contrasting environments, that need to be brought together into a coherent piece of architecture. The building seeks to resolve some complex townscape issues and physical constraints into a landmark form, finding its language in its varied and gritty context.

The scheme has been developed in consultation with the Kentish Town Neighbourhood Forum who see this site as at the vanguard of the wider development aspiration for the adjoining Regis Road and Murphy sites. In particular, the long-term vision adopted within the Local Plan includes a new station, a public square, and a pedestrian route connecting Kentish Town to Parliament Hill Lido.

The proposed scheme responds to the complex local context, both in terms of its stepped plan, and how the forms step in height towards the corner to create a landmark.
