Harewood House Trust

A strategic long-term vision to secure the Trust’s future.

We were appointed in the Cost Management role for an integrated masterplan project, which proposed a series of phased projects to deliver significant enhancements of site infrastructure and facilities at the Grade I Listed Harewood House in Leeds, Yorkshire. The masterplan proposals were developed as part of a wide-ranging regenerative design strategy for the Trust.

The key objectives of the masterplan focused on accomplishing a marked increase in annual visitor, membership and dwell time numbers, and increasing annual income to secure the long-term financial sustainability of the Harewood House Trust.

The masterplan sought to improve the visitor arrival sequence, orientation and pedestrian routes, provide new public facilities to support engagement with the broad range of attractions at the site, enhance the visitor experience throughout the site, and create both a dedicated new space for contemporary art and a separate event space.
